Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out the rules for using LaravelSMTP services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use LaravelSMTP to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or purchase/scrape email lists
  • Send malware, phishing, fraudulent, or deceptive content
  • Harass, threaten, or promote violence or illegal activities
  • Infringe on intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Misrepresent your identity, sender, or affiliation
  • Interfere with the security or availability of our services

Content Standards

All messages sent through LaravelSMTP must:

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR)
  • Include accurate sender information and valid contact details
  • Provide a functioning unsubscribe mechanism where required
  • Be sent only to recipients who have provided valid consent where applicable

Rate Limits and Fair Use

We may apply rate limits or volume caps to ensure service stability. Abusive patterns (e.g., sudden spikes, high bounce or complaint rates) may result in throttling, temporary suspension, or account review.

Security and Abuse Reporting

You must maintain the security of your credentials and API keys. Notify us immediately of suspected compromise or abuse.

  • Report abuse: abuse@laravelsmtp.com
  • Security contact: security@laravelsmtp.com

Enforcement

We may investigate violations of this AUP and take appropriate action, including warnings, throttling, suspension, or termination, and coordination with relevant authorities where required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
